VLCC Gold Scrub Review

I love experimenting with face washes and scrubs. You can find endless skincare products in the market, but one should always choose the right one! I have tried few products from VLCC and all of them has shown good results on me. This time I tried their scrub, sold under name VLCC Gold Scrub. This is an affordable scrub and is easily available online as well as in cosmetic stores. Gold is used in a lot of facial kits and it is known to have endless beauty benefits. Due to weather and tan, I observed my face was losing the glow inspite of using my regular anti-tan cream. This product claims to give glowing skin and radiance, read on to find how this worked on me.
What VLCC says:
Exposure to environment factors like pollution and dust make the skin look dull and lifeless. This unique scrub, enriched with 24 Carat Pure Gold, Turmeric and Sandalwood, has a deep pore cleansing action that gently exfoliates dead skin cells, superficial white and black-heads. It leaves the skin fresh and glowing with a radiant complexion.
Ingredients:
Extracts of Alovera, Sandalwood, Raisin, Turmeric, Gold Leaf, Xantham Gum, Dimethicone, Triclosan and Vitamin E.
How to use:
Take an appropriate amount and apply all over face and neck with wet fingertips. Scrub for a few minutes with circular and outward strokes to exfoliate impurities. Rinse off thoroughly.

My experience with VLCC Gold Scrub:
Packaging:
The product comes in a plastic tube with a flip flop cap. The cap is golden in color and the tube is semi-transparent; in one half you can see the product from the outside whereas the other half has all the necessary details about the product written on the label. Since it has a colourless packaging, so keeping an eye on the amount of product utilized is quite easy. Overall the packaging is simple, sturdy and thus easy to carry it anywhere!
Texture and consistency:
The scrub is light yellow in color with small scrubbing granules that are also yellow which according to the company is a blend of Sandalwood, Turmeric and Gold Leaf.
Fragrance:
Smell is not that amazing. It’s a very different fragrance that may not be loved by everyone. However, that is not a problem, since the smell doesn’t last long, fades within minutes of application.
Effectiveness:
I have oily-combination skin and this scrub doesn’t solve the oil problem, my toner does that job better. However, I have been using this scrub over a long period of time and I must say it has definitely reduced the unevenness of my skin tone. It does not give any instant radiance that most of the scrubs do, you need to follow the instruction well and use this for a month to get observable results. In this case, I feel it is better to get a gold facial done but then again such facials are expensive and this seems to be an alternative option.
It can be a bit drying for people since it has no moisturizing ingredient. It removes the oil and dirt effectively, gives me a clear and glowing skin with regular use. On the first use itself, I didn’t see the tan thing being worked out but yes my face felt fresh and clear. Major benefits of turmeric are it has anti-bacterial properties that help the skin to get rid of harmful bacteria that may cause acne or pimples.
Overall I think the product seems to be a good choice if you are not able to follow the gold facial routine.

Would I recommend VLCC Gold Scrub?
As I mentioned, this is a very good alternative for gold facials since it has a skin-friendly ingredient list. I use it every alternate day to get an observable change on my skin tone. I totally recommend this affordable scrub from VLCC.
Final Verdict
VLCC Gold Scrub seems to be a very good scrub for summers. It works effectively to remove sun tan and give e a clear and glowing skin when used regularly, without any harmful chemicals. Since it has Gold Leaf, as mentioned by the company, it helps in controlling acne and keeps the skin free from unwanted bacteria.
