As it is mentioned in the title of the post, yes this one ingredient can solve all of the hair problems. A few days back I asked you guys in my Instagram story about the topics on which you would love to read blog posts. And many of you wanted a remedy for hair fall and basically hair related problems. Firstly, hair fall happens due to various reasons. It may be because of hormonal imbalance, dryness, deficiency of Iron in the body (anemia), thyroid and many other reasons. So the first and the foremost step is to identify the root cause of your hair issues. And then try to compensate it with external supplements.

And in this post, I will be telling you guys how this single ingredient lying on your kitchen’s rack can do wonders for your hair. Not just hair it is a multipurpose herb that is good for skin, hair and overall health. I have already spoken about the overall benefits of Fenugreek seed in my previous post *if you have not read that then please do so It’s informative * so now coming to Fenugreek as a hair mask, it can smoothen the hair immediately after first wash, it helps in treating/ reducing hair fall, dandruff and many other issues which I will be listing below.

The reasons why Fenugreek works for hair related issues is that it contains iron, lecithin, copper, proteins, phenylalanine, nicotinic acid, hormones that can prevent hair loss. Don’t worry I will be telling you guys what are the uses of these components which I have mentioned above.

Fenugreek hair mask for silky and shiny hair| Hair conditioner

This homemade recipe with fenugreek/methi seed is very easy to make.

1. All you have to do is soak some methi/fenugreek seed in a bowl overnight.

2. Then next morning grind it in a mixer into a paste.

3. Apply this to your hair and scalp and leave it for 20 minutes.

4. Wash it with the shampoo. You will get a shinier, silkier, frizz-free and manageable hair immediately after the wash.

How/why does Fenugreek hair mask work as a hair conditioner

You will observe that this paste is going to be very sticky and that’s because of a component present in Fenugreek/methi called “mucilage”

Mucilage is what makes the hair frizz-free, silky soft and manageable. And as I said in the beginning, this Fenugreek also contains lecithin which gives a beautiful shine to the hair.

Fenugreek Hair mask for Dandruff

1.Soak a handful of Fenugreek seeds overnight in water.

2.Next morning grind the Fenugreek seed in the mixer

3.You will get a thick paste. Now add few drops of lemon to the paste.

4.Apply it on your scalp and leave it for 20-30 minutes.

5.wash off with water followed by a mild shampoo.

Try this mask once or twice a week.

How/why does this mask works for dandruff

Fenugreek contains phytosterols that help in treating the oily and clogged scalps thus by removing dandruff and other scalp related issues.

Fenugreek hair mask for hair fall/ hair loss & hair growth

1. So the initial procedure is same. Grind the overnight soaked Fenugreek seed in the mixer and make a paste.

2. Then to this paste, add 1-2 tablespoon of olive oil or any hair oil of your choice.

3. Keep this hair pack on your hair for 30 minutes and wash it off followed by mild shampoo.

How/why does this Fenugreek hair mask works for hair loss.

Fenugreek contains lecithin and vitamin B3 which is also known for strengthening the hair follicles by supplying oxygen. It also contains iron. Iron deficiency also leads to hair loss.
So this mask can combat these issues.

Fenugreek hair mask to prevent premature aging/ grey hair

1. Grind the curry leaves manually using a mortar & pestle.

2. Then make a paste of overnight soaked Fenugreek seed by grinding in a mixer. While grinding you can also add half gooseberry *Amla in Hindi*

3. Mix both the pastes together and apply to your hair.

4. Leave it for 30 ministers and then wash off with the shampoo.

How/why does this mask prevent grey hair and premature aging of hair?

We have been hearing from our grandmas for ages about the importance of amla and curry leaves for thick black hair. Both fenugreek and Curry leaves contain vitamin B which when present in required amount prevents greying of hair. And amla contains vitamin C which helps in preventing premature aging of hair. And lastly, Fenugreek also contains copper which is also an important component needed in order to prevent greying of hair.

So these are the major problems that can be reduced or treated using Fenugreek hair mask. These masks will also prevent split ends and dryness.

Use these mask once or twice a week for a better result.
