Talk about nuts and the first thing that comes to the mind is almonds among many others.
Almond is a widely used nut both in sweet and savories. Because it is delicious, it also makes for an excellent snack! It is also a zero cholesterol nut with tonnes of health benefits. Think of adding them to your salads, rice, or as a garnish on soups and maybe add to your milk with a pinch of saffron. Keeping a handful of almonds in your pocket is always a good idea because you can satisfy your bingeing habits in a healthier and a right way!

Almonds contain good quality fat so there’s no reason you don’t wanna have this mineral packed ingredient. Not only do almonds serve as a great garnish in fancy dishes, but they are loaded with multiple benefits for skin, hair and nails. Almonds are a rich source of Vitamin – E and an antioxidant which is said to reduce the risk of cardiac diseases, cancer and cataract. The bitter almond or the Iranian almond known as Amaro contains cancer-fighting properties.

Almond oil is an excellent remedy to treat brittle nails. Our nails are heavily exposed to dirt and water that can cause harm to the nails, causing them to chip off easily. This oil is the safest and most natural way to restore the health and quality of your nails. Every time you treat your nails with almond oil, they are protected from peeling, cracking, breaking or even drying out.

Tip

In a bowl, add a teaspoon of almond oil and squeeze a few drops of lemon, mix it well. Soak your hands in this mixture for about 2 minutes. You could also use a cotton ball to apply it over your nails. Leave this overnight and within a span of one week, you will be able to see a natural sheen in your nails.
