Well then this post is for all those subscription box lovers. Here is India’s most affordable subscription box. It retails for just Rs.199. But is that worth the money? Because at the end of the day, that is what matters. If you are interested to know about it then stay tuned for my most honest opinions about galmego box.

My experience with glamego box

So let me give a small introduction about this glamego box in my version. This is the new subscription box in the town and after knowing the price of it, everybody(including me) went gaga about it. The first best part about this box is it’s price, second is that the box will contain all organic skincare products, third is that it will have MAKEUP too.

I subscribed this box because I wanted makeup products. I was like omg makeup products in a box and that too for just Rs.199? I was super excited about it as they claimed that it is a personalized box. So basically I was taken away by the word “personalized” and then when I received the box I couldn’t see even a single makeup product in it.

We have to fill up our beauty profile and then place the order. So while filling up I selected only the makeup products and may be because of that I was disappointed when I received all skincare products.

So that was my disappointment story but the brands that I received were well known organic brands and the products were good as well. For the price that it offers, the skincare products that I received were worth the money. I really wish they could have included at least one makeup product.

Now coming to the topic if that was worth the hype? For me, it was not worth the hype because I subscribed that expecting makeup products. I chose all of the makeup products when filling out my beauty profile, I didn’t select even a single skincare product and in return I received only the skincare products *heart break* But expecting makeup products was my fault I guess.

So if you are one among those who are okay when you receive skincare products then the this is worth the hype! Glamego box of march month had three full sized products(yayyy) and one sample sized product. Now let me quickly show you guys what all I have received in the march month’s glamego box. 

Packaging

Glamego box comes in a basic brown carton box with glamego written on it. I received it in a good condition and the products inside are secured with bubble wrappers and placed inside the paper confetti.

SeaSoul Dead Sea Facial kit- oily skin

Price: Rs.350(full sized)

This is the one I liked the most in the glamego box. This facial kit has six sachets which are supposed to be used in a series as mentioned in the instructions. It contains dead sea minerals, Moroccan Argan oil and Jojoba Oil. SeaSoul is completely an organic and natural brand. I am excited to try this and will review it after using it I have got the one for oily skin. If you have dry skin then you will get it according to skin type.

Lass Naturals Foot cream

Price: 135 (full sized)

A special Ayurveda formula that works for healing & soothing of cracked heals. Also an effective foot moisturiser that maintains the health of your feet by treating dry & chapped heels.

My sister is using it for the past 3 days and she said it makes the skin soft. So this is again a good product that I received in the glamego box.

Kronokare city detox- Face wash

Price: Rs.100 (sample size-30 ml)

This super gentle face wash cleanses the skin while respecting your epidermis it is enriched with extracts of plants and flowers, it leaves the skin smooth and soft making you will feel super fresh!

I have to use it before telling anything about it. Many of them have received Thalgo’s sample sized cold cream marine(5 ml) instead of this face wash.

Price: 115 (full sized- 8 gm)

This lip balm is Made out of 100% natural beeswax which is closest to Organic. It moisturizes the lips and protect them from external exposure.

So this is the one product in the glamego box which completely disappointed me. I have heard great things about Biobloom and may be they have good products too. But this lip balm is a big NO from my side.

This smells like a zandu balm and when applied on lips it gives the same feeling when you apply a zandu balm. This balm gave me the exact tingly feeling on my lips that the balm which is used for headaches gives.

Overall thought about the glamego box

 If you love trying out subscription boxes then you must try this at least once. The box was for Rs. 208 but when summing up the price of all the products, the total is Rs.700. So for me, price wise it was a great deal but I was not completely happy with it. I would suggest them to include at least one makeup product in every month’s box. If possible one skincare and rest makeup products This was really a much need box in India and kudos to the glamego Team for such initiative.

An Update:

I purchased this when the box was newly launched and it was for Rs. 199 but now the price has increased to Rs.299. Which I did not like about Glamego. I wanted to try this just because of its price and it said that it will have makeup in it. This is still very affordable but hiking up the cost of the box the very next month was not impressive at all to me.

Update 2018:

Now they do include a makeup product in the box but still, I don’t find it extraordinary or different or whatsoever because they include products from the same brands most of the time.
