Homemade Super hydrating drinks | Say Bye to dehydration

Hello everyone!!!

Summer is still in some parts of India while it's almost monsoon in other parts. One of the things which most of us is still facing dehydration. Our body needs constant hydration either by drinking water or having fruits. And now after Ramadan, my skin is also dehydrated. I am sure a lot of guys are also experiencing the same.  There are many hydrating drinks available in the market as well. But nothing can compete the fresh drinks made at home. So I thought why not to share with you guys 4 super hydrating drinks which will not only hydrate the body but will act as a healthy supplement also. And yeah these drinks are not only meant for summer or any season in particular, you can make it anytime whenever your skin and body needs hydration. I will share the recipes keeping in mind that the ingredients are very easily available in the market or most probably will be present in your kitchen. So without any delay let me share those recipes with you.

Homemade Fruits infused water

Fruits infused water helps to keep our body hydrated and at the same time, all of the nutrients that fruits contain are also released into the water. So these fruit infused water are rich in vitamins and nutrients which will help you to cope up with summer. They are very easy to make.

Recipe

  • 2 glass of water
  • 5-6 cubes of watermelon
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 lemon sliced

Indication

Mix them all in a mason jar.

Refrigerate them over night so that all of the nutrients are infused.

Drink the hydrating vitamin and nutrients enriched water next day with or without ice cubes

Health benefits:

Watermelon is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, B6 and amino acids.
Cucumber helps in flushing out the toxins from the body, provide hydration and is rich in antioxidants.

Homemade Electrolyte energy drink

As we all know electrolytes are good at providing hydration to the body and give stamina on a long run. Usually during summer I tend to loose energy very quickly and I guess most of you feel the same. Electrolytes that are available in the market has lots of preservatives in them so why not to make one at home? Yeah let's make it now!

Recipe

  • 2 cups of water
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Pinch of salt

Indication

Mix the juices and water together

Add a pinch of salt

Mix them all and they are ready to drunk. You can refrigerate them as well.

Health Benefits:

Salt helps in retaining the water in the body.
The juice of lemon and orange contains electrolytes that gives energy and also helps in proper regulation of body

Flavoured coconut water

Coconut water is a nature's gift to us. Coconut water contains cytokines that helps in cell development. Coconut water boosts hydration, rich in potassium and controls blood pressure. This recipe is again very simple. You can drinks coconut water without adding anything extra also. Because this in itself numerous health benefits

Recipe

  • Coconut water or tender coconut water
  • Mint leaves

Indication

Add mint leaves into the coconut water

Blend it well with a blender

And the flavoured coconut water is ready.

Honey lemonades

There are tons of flavored lemonades that are easy to make. But keeping in mind of the ingredients that are available in everybody's home, I came up with honey lemonade. As we are using honey here, we can completely skip the sugar. Yes now you can stay hydrated this summer without being unhealthy.

Recipe

  • 2 cups of water
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey

You can add in mint leaves and berries(optional)

Indication

Dissolve honey in water. You can do that by heating them. Allow them to cool.

Add lemon to the mixture and refrigerate.

Chilled honey lemonade is ready to drink now.

Health benefits:

Honey helps in regulating the blood sugar level, ulcers, and gastrointestinal disorders.
